PAVILHÃO
I was commissioned by Pavilhão to develop the bar's branding.
The bar is located at Rua Riachuelo 260 – Lapa, the bohemian center of Rio de Janeiro, where you can still see remains of the old city architecture amongst the rodas de samba (samba circles), bars, traditional live venues (Circo Voador, Fundição Progresso), and the constant influx of people that comes from all parts of Rio and abroad in search of fun and good music.
We knew we wanted to make something that stood the test of time, while still paying homage to the sambistas, rappers, and all musicians from before that made Lapa what it is. Taking inspiration from the building's Art Déco structure, the colors from a traditional escola de samba (samba school) from Rio, and other elements that reflected the culture from the city, I developed a full visual identity with logo, illustrations, menu, uniform, and other applications that brought to life the three main elements of Pavilhão: bar, culture, and gastronomy.
